Christopher Carroll, PhD

Dr. Christopher Carroll is a licensed Psychologist and a Global Career Development Facilitator Certified Instructor for the National Career Development Association. Chris joined Comprehensive Career Planning, Inc in June 2007.

During his career, he has been a full-time faculty member at Adelphi University and Farmingdale State College. In addition to his full-time faculty appointments, he has served as an adjunct faculty member at Fordham University, the CW Post campus of Long Island University, Molloy College, and Bank Street College of Education.

Chris also worked for five years as a counselor in the Career Development Center and the Office of Support Services for Students with Disabilities at Farmingdale State College. Chris is a frequent presenter at professional conferences and parent groups in the New York Metropolitan area.

Chris earned his Masters Degree and Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Fordham University. He also has a Masters Degree plus 30 additional graduate credits in Special Education, and has held New York State and New York City licenses as a special education teacher.

He is a member of the American Psychological Association, The American Counseling Association, The National Career Development Association, The National Employment Counseling Association, and the Division on Career Development and Transition of the Council for Exceptional Children.

In addition to his work with Comprehensive Career Planning, Inc., Dr. Carroll maintains a private practice, offering psychotherapy, psychological and educational assessment, and career counseling. He has offices in East Norwich, NY and Glen Cove, NY.

In his private practice, Dr. Carroll combines his background in clinical and counseling psychology, career development, and special education to provide specialized services for individuals with Learning Disabilities, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and Autistic Spectrum Disorders and their families. His practice addresses these issues across the life span, from early childhood through adulthood.
